Driven by a desire to become the best version of himself, and to help others do the same, Bill Calhoun brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in complex healthcare organizations. Having served as a hospital CEO and senior healthcare executive throughout his career, Bill understands firsthand the challenges leaders face in balancing strategic priorities, organizational performance, and the human side of leadership.
Bill partners with executives, physician leaders, and emerging leaders who want to lead with greater confidence, authenticity, and purpose. His coaching style is grounded in thoughtful listening, meaningful questions, and practical experience, helping clients navigate change, strengthen relationships, develop executive presence, and lead through complexity with clarity.
Known for his authentic, relationship-driven approach, Bill believes that leadership begins with self-awareness and the courage to be genuine. He creates a coaching environment where clients feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow into the leaders they aspire to become. His work is guided by the values of authenticity, compassion, courage, integrity, and respect.
Throughout his career, Bill has been passionate about developing talent, mentoring future healthcare leaders, and building cultures where people can thrive. Today, he continues that mission as an executive coach, helping leaders unlock their potential while creating stronger organizations and healthier communities.
Bill is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), reflecting his longstanding commitment to excellence in healthcare leadership. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is also a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) through the Center for Executive Coaching.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Patti, of 37 years, their two adult children, Danielle and Nick, and their grandchild, Ember. He also enjoys reading, exercising, and exploring the country in his motorhome.
